Teaching

Principal

Location: East / North

Job Description

  •  Purpose: To serve as the supervisor of a center in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. 
  • General Planning: conceptualizes the broad goals of the centre and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total centre program. 
  • General Coordination: ensures that the centre program is compatible with the legal, financial and organizational structure of the centre system. The principal defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the centre program to the community.
  •  Enhancement of Personnel Skills: provides activities which facilitate the professional growth of the centre staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program. 
  • Centre Objectives: identifies the annual objectives for the instructional, extracurricular, and athletic programs of the centre. 
  • Curriculum Objectives: ensures that instructional objectives for a given subject and/or classroom are developed, and others in the development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the centre program. The principal provides opportunities for staff participation in the centre program. 
  • Establishes Formal Work Relationships: evaluates student progress in the instructional program by means that include the maintaining of up-to-date student data. The principal supervises and appraises the performance of the teaching staff. 
  • Facilitates Organizational Efficiency: maintains inter-centre system communication and seeks assistance from other centre staff to improve performance. The principal maintains good relationships with students, staff, and parents. The principal complies with established lines of authority. 
  • Administrative: To manage and organize staff records on One@Ecda, ensuring that the documents, forms and medical have been fulfilled.
  • Community: encourages the use of community resources, cooperates with the community in the use of centre facilities, interprets the centre program for the community, and maintains communication with community members.
  • Supplies and Equipment: manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, supplies and equipment which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine. The principal involves the staff in determining priorities for instructional purposes. 
  • Services: organizes, oversee, and provides support to the various services, supplies, material, and equipment provided to carry out the centre program. The principal makes use of community resources. Responsible for handling all incoming calls courteously and professionally by providing accurate information to the callers.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood and in Leadership in Early Childhood
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in the Early Childhood sector.
  • Management Skills (Employee Management, Centre Management and Organization)
  • Able to work with initiative and independently, as well as with a team, towards a common goal.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of confidentiality.

Vice Principal (Teaching)

Location: West / North

Job Description

  • To plan and implement the curriculum under the guidance of the Principal to ensure a well-run, purposeful, engaging and child-centred programme responsive to children’s needs and aligned to the principles spelt out in the standard ECCE Framework.
  • Create a learner-centred environment where children can explore, experiment and interact to learn.
  • Support and work together with the Principal and other centre staff in enhancing the quality of children’s educational experience.
  • To establish good relationships with parents as partners in care and education, and conduct school tour for new parents.
  • Create a safe learning environment and to provide the best possible care to children and under their charge.
  • To conduct staff meetings with the team and handle weekly evaluations.
  • To prepare the e-portfolio and monthly reporting of Little Lives, lesson plans, enrolment enquiries etc.
  • To check on the theme boards and classroom management for each term.
  • Bi-annually conduct lesson observations.
  • Assisting with any other administrative matters assigned by the Principals as and when required.

Administrative

Centre Support Officer

Location: West / North

Job Description

As the Centre Support Officer at Ilham Child Care, you will provide support to the School in the areas of Administration, Information Support, Finance and Procurement. You will be expected to handle in-house systems on student administration and Microsoft Office systems. We are looking for someone who is always willing to learn new skills, committed, responsible and organised. Digital literacy is essential. 

Your Key Responsibilities Include

  • Preparing of school fees, keying in and generating school fees invoices and receipts in Xero accounting software and collection of school fees.
  • Preparing salary report, salary slips and CPF contributions for all employees monthly.
  • Prepare the Director File that includes the updated staff details, leave records, medical expenses, monthly income and expenses and monthly profit & loss report.
  • Stock taking for uniforms, school bags, pouches, communication books, uniforms, stationeries and all other items in the centre.
  • Ordering of uniforms, stationeries, groceries and other necessities for the Centre.
  • Prepare meeting minutes for all meetings involved and upload in Google Drive.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or administrative experience.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of confidentiality. 
  • A committed and responsible person who is willing to learn new skills.
  • A team player who has initiative and can help others.

Support Staff

Centre Cleaner / Janitor

Location: East

 

Cleanliness of Classrooms

  • Ensure the classrooms are clean on a daily basis (sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.)
  • Ensure that the shelves in the classrooms are wiped weekly basis. 
  • To empty all rubbish in the appropriate disposal area. 

 

Toilets

  • Ensure sink, toilet bowls, mirrors, door and floors are clean on a daily basis after children’s shower. 
  • Ensure that the hand soaps, tissue towels are stocked. 
  • To empty all rubbish in the appropriate disposal area twice a day (after children’s shower and before end of shift). 

 

Safety Aspect

  • Ensure all cleaning products are stored in the designated room (away from children’s reach). 
  • Update your supervisor/principals immediately if there is any faulty found in the toilet such as water heater, switches, etc. Immediate action plan should be taken. 
  • Ensure that all the floors (classrooms and toilets) are dry at all times. 
  • Ensure a safe work environment.

 

Indoor Playground

  • Ensure that thorough cleaning and vacuuming done monthly. 

 

Administration

  • Keep logs to track your cleaning duties (refer to Toilet Cleaning Checklist).

  • Update Admins if there is insufficient of cleaning products and plastic bags.
