Early education is the backbone of a child’s future academic and life success. Day-to-day experiences in early childhood promote brain development and help the child learn and reach their milestones.
Learning in an early education setting encourages free exploration and hands-on experiences. At our child care centre, children learn and develop through various activities such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational games. Daily activities in our classes also involve sensory play, unstructured play, indoor and outdoor gross motor activities, etc.
We are aware that high-quality early childhood education responds to individual needs and interests, providing learning opportunities consistent with those interests. Our holistic curriculum approach revolves around themes that help in promoting a child’s cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional skills.
Our child care centre is happy to assist families with financial needs, living up to the mission of providing the same learning opportunities to every child.
At Ilham Child Care, we firmly believe that all children should receive equal learning opportunities, regardless of their families’ financial background. We are also an inclusive child care that accepts children with different mental and physical abilities, providing extra accommodations to children with special needs to help them reach their potentials.
We are proud to be the only child care that provides free enrichments and language lessons for students to ensure that all children receive quality education and equal learning opportunities.
What is the #yourchildneverwalksalone Programme About?
We offer eight different enrichments and four languages daily included in our curriculum at no extra charge. All of our students can take advantage of the following enrichments:
- Jolly Phonics Reading Programme
- Arts & Crafts
- Music & Movement
- Speech & Drama
- Martial Arts Programme
- Malay Immersion Programme
To support the #YCNWA programme, we also provide preparation courses to equip children with academic, social, and interpersonal skills needed for an early education setting.
We know that language skills are at the core of successful learning and development. Languages come in handy for business and social interaction in the child’s future. So, instead of just English and Malay, we also provide Mandarin and Arabic language classes as mandatory programmes. This makes us the only child care to initiate and maintain this approach.
The Cahaya Ilham Fund
Since 2016, Ilham Child Care has contributed funds to our unique Cahaya Ilham Fund. This fund is being used to offset initial payments or monthly school fees for families with lower income, parents of kids with special needs, or single parents.
Under this programme, each child is entitled to $200 off their school fees for six months on top of the government subsidies. Eligible parents can reapply for this fund again every six months. This allows our students to enjoy equal learning opportunities with monthly child care fees as low as $5 a month for a full-day child care programme.
What do you think about our endeavours to provide equal opportunities in the classroom and make education equal for all? We’d like to hear your thoughts and comments!
